Lorraine1 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 Hi Folks I have transfered my TMG V 7 from my old computer running XP to a new one running Vista Ultimate and for the life of me cannot get it to back up to disc. on XP it was C program files common files cd burn (Or something like that ?) Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 You appear to be asking a question that has absolutely nothing to do with TMG. You had some sort of CD burning software set up on your WinXP system and don't have equivalent software set up on your WinVista system? Most people using TMG write their backups to a hard drive and then later use their CD/DVD burning software to write those backups to an optical disk for 'permanent' storage. The default TMG backup path is: C:\Users\username\Documents\The Master Genealogist v7\Backups (username) being your username. However, you can adjust the path as you wish.
