svaught 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2008 I have recently upgraded to v7 and attempting to use on home computer and laptop. It seems as if somehow I have created a problem through user accounts being different as one is stored in the "default" document subdirectory and the other computer with the project stored under my name as a subdirectory. When backing up the file I end up with changes made in a subdirectory that I cannot access on the other computer. It simply states that I don't have permission to access the files. Anyone have a simple work around for this dilemma?
Virginia Blakelock 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2008 First, you will want to read the Help topic 'Data File Storage' if you have not already. Are both computers using the same operating system? What are the files that you cannot access (project? customizations?) and what is the path of the subdirectory? Virginia
Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2008 Make sure that you have updated to v7.03. When you work on two computers, it makes things much easier if you use the same paths on both machines.
Daryl Edmonds 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2008 I don't know if you have differing OSs on the two computers, as I did, but Jim's reply to my query here might help. (I haven't learnt how to insert a link, yet) http://www.whollygenes.com/forums201/index...c=10356&hl=
