Is there a way to turn off State abbreviations?

 

Also have a Mother of 12 who shows up as 2nd Father when any child is selected. I changed her sex flag to female but that didn't help.

Is there a way to turn off State abbreviations?

Place abbreviations are only used in reports when you select the option on the report Places tab.

Go to the child's Details view and delete the inappropriate tag or click the [Father] or [Mother] button and select the correct person.
