GEDCOM Question

When i export a gedcom i would like to export the complete address line for LDS temples.

 

Currently when I export I get SLAKE only which is the temple code.

 

I would like for it to export the complete address I have entered for the temple.

 

Is there a way to do this?

If the Temple field is selected, only TEMP is exported and PLAC is not exported. I guess the idea is that the temple code tells you everything that you need to know about the location. There is no way around that. I'll ask my LDS expert about how the export should work. This design goes back many years.

 

The added LDS tag type role sentences for TMG8 are more complex than this using [L] when appropriate and [L10] when appropriate. I see no way to have that sort of selection in GEDCOM export.

You can get the complete list of Temple codes and their locations at:

I simply use this list and place the location in the event tag and do not use the temple code.
