Leslie1899 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2012 I am embarrassed to admit that I used to know how to handle the problem of a } used by itself when transcribing court records into TMG. When I use the } (curly bracket) by itself (as it is used in the original document), the data is excluded. I KNOW there's a way to indicate to TMG to print this curly bracket }, but can't for the life of me figure out how. I've gone through years of my notes, my emails to tech support, as well as searched various places on the forum (which is why I typed in "curly brackets") and still cannot find the solution. I've recently entered a series of deeds of gift and need to correct the problem while I can remember exactly which entries are negatively affected by this issue. Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2012 Leslie, To put any "special character" - that is one that has special meaning to TMG, like {, [, -, and , in text, you preface it with an "escape character." That character is the backslash, so include the } in your text you would enter }
