Procat 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2012 (edited) Hi, I am running Windows 7, 64 bit and TMG v8.03 I have created a chart in VCF which has a file size of 1.82 mb. I have saved this to my desktop and am trying to export it to a jpeg image. The Export Image box pops and is then overlayed with the Jpeg Image Settings box which displays Quality 95 & Smoothing 0. The Generating Image message appears at the bottom of the screen. When I click the OK button on the Jpeg Image Settings I immediately get the error "Visual Chartform has stopped running" - I have waited up to 25 minutes before closing the error box which then crashes VCF. The details are as below (I have generated smaller jpegs with no problem): Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: vcf.exe Application Version: 3.2.0.13 Application Timestamp: 46da0bb5 Fault Module Name: vcf.exe Fault Module Version: 3.2.0.13 Fault Module Timestamp: 46da0bb5 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 000f7da2 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 3081 Additional Information 1: 1663 Additional Information 2: 1663e505ad4a9d930664d7ef566c0245 Additional Information 3: 7062 Additional Information 4: 7062e302dc5d7bf67e91c7ae40cf4eaa Thanks. Virginia Blakelock 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2012 Doug - I don't know the answer to your question about that particular file, but if you plan on printing the chart the much-preferred file format is PDF. In the VCF notes on page 3 in the article here, the jpg image quality of a VCF chart is rated as Poor, and the PDF image quality as Excellent - and preferred by commercial printers. For information on saving the chart as a PDF file, see the earlier forum message here. Virginia
Procat 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2012 Thanks Virginia. For sharing rather than printing. Will explore the PDF option.
