stoker wilson 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2006 Hi, When creating a report with footnotes and endnotes, fields are displayed in the report with <unknown values> listed as unknown. Does anyone know how to suppress this virtually useless information. Thanks. Stoker Wilson.
Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2006 I'd suggest the information is not totally useless - because it tells you that your source is not entered properly. Here are three ways to fix it: 1. Enter the expected data into the empty source elements. 2. In the Source Definition, go to the Output Template tab, and either remove the un-needed Elements, or enclose them in Conditional brackets. 3. Go to the Source Types list (Tools menu), find the source type that is used, and add conditional brackets to those elements. For details on how to do #2 or 3, seem my article on Working with Templates.
stoker wilson 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2006 Many Thanks terry. Very helpful. I agree there is some use in the information, but the TMG documenation is not very good at teling you how to supress the unwanted. info. I'll make a note of your site. Stoker.
