Surname Index - Desc report

Hi

 

I've been inlcuding a person's nickname within " " in the given name .

 

Howver I've just discovered that this causes problems in the surname index on the Descendant report & other reports

 

Example "

 

Desmond "Des" McIntryre appears on the Surname index as McIntyre , Desmond

 

Ronald "Ron" McIntryre appears on the Surname index as McIntyre , Ron

 

That is it ignores everyjtimg after " .??

 

Any suggestions as to how I can overcome this problem.??

For your information , I've resolved my own problem !!!.

 

I replaced the " " with () and presto the full name appears in the index , e.g. McIntryre Ronald (Ron) rather then just McIntryre Ronald.

 

....and that ggood news !!

 

Must have something to do with Word's indexing ?
