Leslie1899 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 I have a number of carefully constructed source templates which I'd hate to have to re-create. Is it possible to move customized source templates from v6 to v7? Although I'm using the Mills choice, I still found it necessary to create these templates in order for my source citations to be more complete. Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 The Source Templates you created are part of your Data Set. When you move your Project to v7 the templates will come with it. Is that the question you are asking?
Leslie1899 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2008 Yes, thank you Terry. I've used your wonderful advice for years. I simply hadn't seen anything about these templates being moved (despite using the Search function). Leslie
Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2008 You're welcome, Leslie. Actually, they aren't moved, in the sense that they are not part of the program, and thus don't need to be "moved." Rather, they are part of the data, and will be there no matter where you open your Project. The flip side of this is that if you were to create a new Project, your customized templates would not be available in it (you can copy them from one Data Set to another in TMG7, but that's a different issue).
