jandakermode 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 I have been running TMG v6.07 flawlessly on our our PC in WinXP SP2. Have now acquired a new PC with Windows Vista on it. I would be quite happy to continue using v6.07 but it won't work on Vista (as I understand it). I downloaded to the new PC the file TMG6setup.exe which I understood from the details on the download page would upgrade version 6.07 to version 6.12 which that page said is compatible with Vista. I have two questions: 1) why, when I double click on the file TMG6setup.exe do I get the error message "could not initilaize installation. File size expected is 40052307, size returned equals 1553159" and the only option in the message box is to click OK (end). In other words, I can't instal this file. (I get the same thing happen when I tried it on a downloaded file tmg7setup.exe. This is even after I have enabled the file to be compatible with Win XP 2) assuming I can with your help get v6.12 installed on the new PC, do I just need to instal TMG v6.07 on the new PC? Otherwise, what advice would you have? Julie
Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2008 Your second question makes no sense. You can contact Support directly and get a link from them to the v6.12 full installer and download it and install it. You need to read this document carefully and follow the suggestions for running v6.12 under WinVista... http://www.whollygenes.com/files/tmg6andwinvista.pdf %%%%%%%%%% Alternatively, it would make things much easier to order TMG7 which is WinVista-compatible. You get a special price as a v6 owner.
