Several years ago I imported many of the people in my database from a Sierra product. Now when I pring the Descendent Intdented Narrative report, all of the improted people show up as having died and been buried. I tried changing the Living flag for these people, but it seems to have no effect on what prints in the report.

Is there some way I can fix this? Thanks.

You're not stating the issue directly. I believe that you are saying that some individuals have Death and Burial tags with no data.

If I recall, the Generations import did have that issue since those events actually existed in the Generations database. Eventually, the import was revised to skip such 'empty' events.

You need to check a person and confirm that is the issue. If so, it can be fixed globally. You should also identify the involved tags. Death, Burial, others?

Backup your project as a precaution.

Download and install TMG Utility.

Run TMG Utility and open your project.

Use: Functions / Tags / Delete Tags by Type

Select the first tag type to delete... say, for example, 'Death'.

Unselect 'Retain if primary' since all of the tags that you want to delete will be primary.

Leave the other three 'Retain' choices selected.

You can leave 'Log only' selected to test the run but need to unselect it when you want to really remove the tags.
Click [Delete Tags] to do the tag deletion.

Do this for 'Burial' and any other tag types that might have been imported with no data.

Removing the tags with no data should resolve your issue.

Thanks! I'll give it a try.
