List of Names associated with a place field entry

How do I generate a list of names of persons who have a particular entry in a place field, but the tag is unknown?

 

I recently imported data into a new data set where I am working on it-removing errors, realigning places, etc. When I open the Master Place List for this data set, I find entries in some place fields that obviously don't belong there, but I do not know with whom this information is associated.

 

For example, in the Master Place List is are several entries in the County field of "Magnolia". I don't know if this is person's name, a county name, or whatever.

 

So, using this as an example, my question is how do I generate a list of names of persons who have "Magnolia" in the the County field of an unknown tag?

First of all, when in the Master Place List, you can select a place, click the [Events] button on the right, and edit the tag directly. That gets to what you need to do without generating any report.

 

Possible reports...

 

List of People

filter

Any Event... Place Contains sometext END

 

or

 

List of Events

filter

Place Contains sometext END

 

In either filter, you can use [?] rather than the text so that you are prompted for the place text input.
