  1. Restore fails

Thanks to Jim Byram for all his help and support. I have finally resolved this issue and my TMG backup/restore is now working normally again.
  2. Restore fails

I would like to add comments to my post above to be more thorough and clearer. First, I used Acronis True Image 2017 to sync my TMG "Genealogy" folder between my desktop and laptop. This sync appeared to complete successfully, but when I tried to use files in the synced folder I ran into the error message. I was trying to use a TMG backup file, Ince.sqz, from the sync folder to "restore" to the TMG project on my laptop. That's when I got the error message -- more precisely "someone else is using this project and it is not possible to restore it." Thus, I had Acronis technicians delete all syncs from both computers -- they have assured me that they have done that and that there are no "remnant" flags left by Acronis indicating that they are using any of the files in the previously synced folder. I then copied all of this "Genealogy" folder to an external hard drive, deleted those folders/files from both desktop and laptop and restored them back to those computers; of course, restarting between each step. But, when I now use TMG to re-create the Ince.sqz file from my desktop and try to "restore" it to my TMG project on my laptop, I continue to get the same error message. Is there any way to capture the offending "someone else" when this error occurs? I'm stumped and really need help and would appreciate it immensely.
  3. Restore fails

I have made a backup, *.sqz, from my desktop. Now when I attempt to restore that project to my laptop, I get an error message that "someone else is using that file and the restore cannot be done." Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated.
