  1. Hi. I am trying to delete some old project files, but TMG will not let me. They seem to have a dual name. I tried deleting the secondary name and it said the file was open and could not be deleted. I tried opening and closing it, and got the same message. I finally manually deleted it using the Windows Explorer (or whatever they call it in Win 8). It no longer appears as a standalone project in the TMG list but the name is still appended to the name of other projects. I tried renaming the projects and now when I try to delete the renamed file, TMG goes directly to the list of programs under TMG 9. Fortunately, my master project seems to be OK, so this is just an irritant. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thank you. Doris Wheeler
  2. Corrupted projects?

Thank you, Terry and Virginia. Virginia's trick worked. I was attempting to delete a project from a different one. Terry, What I meant was that when I open the list of projects (either using File\Delete project or the start menu or from Windows Explorer, I see the project name on the left and way off to the right (I have to scroll to see it) there is a name of another project. That same project name appears "appended" to several other projects. Deleting them from the Sample project works. I appreciate your being there, guys! Doris
  3. Hi Jim, I'm still having problems. Everything seems to work ok except that I cannot find the Ports tab (step 18). Could this be because I'm updating TMG and printers, etc., on my laptop (Windows 7 x64) but my actual printer is networked as a slave to my desktop which is running XP? Right now I can't print anything from TMG on my laptop. Thanks! Doris
  4. PDF printer driver

Thank you, Jim. I did use select Printer Properties but could not find anything within that related to Ports. But there may be another problem because once I close out of the procedure you outline, the Wholly Genes PDF Printer no longer shows up under Device and Printers, even though every steps shows as having completed successfully. (I do have as a printer the Amyumi Document Converter, though.) Now, when I attempted to redo the entire procedure I did notice an error under Amyuni document Converter: "Copying acXML Parser.dll file. Error Code: 2. The system cannot find the file specified." But then it proceeds with the remaining steps and finishes with "Printer setup successful." Might it be helpful to reinstall TMG? Doris
  5. Exhibits Multiple use

I too want to have individual photos referenced by many people. The problem is that if I add the same photo to more than one, I get multiple image in the Second Site Gallery. I know there must be a way because others do it, but I'm having a senior moment. Thank you for any help. Regards, Doris
  6. Wish List

Hi. I'd love to see a report that would show mtDNA relatives. In other words, not just ancestors and descendants but, for mtDNA specifically, all the females in a family who would be expected to have the same DNA profile. For example, for myself, that would include my mother's direct female ancestral line as well as the children of each maternal ancestor (and descendant), keeping in mind that only the son of a female in the line and not his children would qualify but that all daughters would qualify. 7. My original TMG exhibit file contains rather rough versions of photos. I have since cleaned up the photos and saved them in a different file which I use for Second Site. However, I would really like TMG to use this different file. I have copied my master file and changed the file under Preferences/Advanced\Exhibits, but the old photos still show in TMG. All are defined as External. I also ran all the maintenance procedures. What am I doing wrong? Thanks! Doris Wheeler
