=== Last Day for the Data CD sale - 33% off U.S. titles! ================

Today (Sunday, Nov 16) is the last day that we're offering a very special discount price on many of the data CDs on the Wholly Genes web site. With the entire international digital inventory from the Archive CD Books Project, you've got more than 3000 opportunities to find the untapped resources which will help you break down those brick walls in your research. That includes digitized copies of classic reference books, as well as many lesser-known gold mines of genealogical information. You can pick from many rare books, census records, church/parish records, vital records, military records, and maps from the United States, England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Canada, Australia, and other countries.

Best of all, most of them are fully searchable!

THOM'S IRISH ALMANAC 1880.
$29.95 http://www.ArchiveCD...b...WS&p=IE0033
Published from 1843 until the present day, Thom's Irish Almanac is rightly considered the pre-eminent almanac for Ireland, but the massive scope of this annual publication is sometimes forgotton or overlooked. A glance at the subtitle title for this publication gives an indication as to the depth and breadth of the information contained therein: Comprising British, Foreign and Colonial Directories. Parliamentary Directory. Peerage, Baronetage, and Knightage Directory. Statistics of Great Britain and Ireland. Government Offices Directory. University, Scientific and Medical Directory. Law Directory. Ecclesiastical Directory. Banking Directory. Lieutenancy and Magistracy of Ireland. Post Office Dublin City and County Directory. (more...)

THE AGRICULTURAL LABOURER: IRELAND: COMPENDIUM (1893)
$25.95 http://www.ArchiveCD...b...WS&p=IE0037
The Royal Commission on Labour: The Agricultural Labourer, was published in 1893 after evidence from the Report was presented to both Houses of Parliament. The range, depth and scope of the inquiry, meant that the report's findings and conclusions were the most comprehensive ever conducted into the conditions of the agricultural labourer in Ireland. The information presented in the 496 page Reports was taken from the Commission's Surveys of 30 Poor Law Unions (more...)

=== New Data CDs from England =========================

The following new data CDs from England are now available from ArchiveCDBooksUSA.com:

DEAN STANLEY'S HISTORICAL MEMORIALS OF WESTMINSTER ABBEY, 1911.
$15.49 http://www.ArchiveCD...b...WS&p=IE5001
Arthur Penrhyn Stanley's Historical Memorials of Westminster Abbey was first published in 1867 and proved so popular that it was reissued repeatedly. The current volume published here, is the eighth edition. The book provides a lively account of the tombs and memorials that are to be found throughout the Abbey, as well as the many 19th century investigations of the tomb contents which the author seems to have particularly enjoyed. Needless to say much of the volume is given over to the large number of royal tombs, with extended discussions of royal coronation ceremonies. The main body of the book contains a thorough catalogue of all the monuments and memorials to be found in the Abbey from its foundation in 1050 to 1881. A more extended treatment is given to groups of memorials with a common theme, e.g. Poets corner (with memorials for Chaucer onwards). (more...)

LANCASHIRE AND CHESHIRE WILLS AND INVENTORIES, FROM THE ECCLESIASTICAL COURT, CHESTER - CHETHAM SOCIETY VOL. XXXIII.
$9.95 http://www.ArchiveCD...b...WS&p=IE5002
Re-published here on fully-searchable CD-Rom format is volume XXIII of the Chetham Society. Established for the promotion, collection and publication of the 'remains, historical and literary connected with the Palatine counties of Lancaster and Chester', this volume was original published in 1853-4. Volume XXXIII of the Chetham Society's publications is drawn from the Archives of the Ecclesiastical Court, Chester, and the contents transcribed by the incumbent of Farndon, the Rev. John Piccope, M.A. These wills and inventories, more than fifty in total, formed part of a collection of eminent Lancashire and Cheshire families held at the Registry of the Chester Ecclesiastical Court, which had attracted the paricular attention of the Chanceller of the Diocese, the Rev. Henry Raikes, M.A. With Raikes' permission, the wills and inventories contained in this volume were transcribed. (more...)

POWELL'S GLOUCESTRIANA OR PAPERS RELATING TO THE CITY OF GLOUCESTER (1890).
$15.49 http://www.ArchiveCD...b...WS&p=IE5003
Compiled by John Joseph Powell, Q.C., a former Member of Parliament for the City of Gloucester and published in 1890, Gloucestriana, is a cornucopia of facts and anecdotes relating to the City collected from local newspapers and journals, notably the Gloucester Journal. In just over 200 pages Powell presents information on such diverse subjects as the early manufacturing trade and commerce of the City, to bribery and corruption in a number of the City's ,ore infamous elections to the death of Edward II. (more...)

GENEALOGIA BEDFORDIENSIS 1890.
$25.95 http://www.ArchiveCD...b...WS&p=IE5004
Originally published privately by the editor Frederick Augustus Blaydes 1890, Genealogia Bedfordensis is subtitled "Being a collection of evidences relating chiefly to the Landed Gentry of Bedfordshire AD 1538-1700 collected out of Parish Registers, the Bishop's transcripts, early wills, monumental inscriptions, etc." Containing 512 pages, with a comprehensives names index, Genealogia Bedfordensis represents an important collection of genealogical information on a number of the more noted families from the county, as well as copious transcripts of parish registers and other data.
