jenealogy 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2009 Since I upgraded my PC to Vista Premium Home about a year ago, I've noticed that there is quite a lag in "saving" changes in TMG. I have about 33,000 people in the main database -- I know others have a lot more, so I don't think this is the issue. What happens is that I edit info about an event or a name, click the Save button and see the little Vista circle going round and round -- maybe for 5-15 seconds, but I don't remember having to wait that long in XP. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm running AMD 2.20Ghz, 4G RAM 32-bit. TMG is on my C drive, which is pretty full. The database is on another drive, same machine, which has lots of space. Any recommendations would be most appreciated! Jenny
Guest PhilDee Report post Posted June 10, 2009 Are you by any chance using a network printer on your system? If so disconnect it or change to a local printer driver and see if the speed improves. Phil Wholly Genes Tech Support
