janice 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2010 I am using TMG 7.04 on Win 7. My machine was bought November last year. TMG is running in Repair Mode. It will open Sample US and Sample UK. I get the message The Project is in Use elsewhere, please try another project. What can I do? I have been on the forum and list to see if there was a solution but couldn't find one although I know there are some there. I cannot get to do Maintenance, Optimise, VFI, Optimise. When I checked there are no CDX files under my Alllines Project, the one I cannot open. Thanks for any help Janice Cornwell
Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2010 Reboot your computer and try to open the project again. or... Instead of the above, you might run a test for me. Open the Windows Task Manager Hit CTRL+SHIFT+ESC at the same time. Select the Processes tab. Check the list for any instances of 'TMG.exe'. If you find any, select each and click the [End Process] button to close them. Close the Windows Task Manager. Now run TMG and see if you can open your project. If you do this let me know what you find and the results.

When I started my computer this morning and opened the Windows Task Manaer, I found two applications running - Outlok 2007 amd TMG - Project in use elsewhere. In the Processes tab there was no instances of TMG.exe. I rebooted again and there were no applications running. I had not opened Outlook 2007. I still was not able to open my project Alllines. Thanks for your time. Janice Down Under
Virginia Blakelock 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2010 Janice, you indicated in your first message that TMG was running in Repair mode and that you could not find any *.CDX files in the project folder. Do you have Windows Explorer set to show extensions and hidden files and folders? Repair mode may have deleted some index (CDX) files, but often there are others left that you could try deleting (deleting the CDX files can be a remedy). Virginia Yes thanks to your earlier posts I have them showing. The CDX files show for the Sample reports. Janice
