State Abbreviations

I do not use abbreviations on my input. When printing a pedigree, there is not room for the full city, county, state. How do I get standard state abbreviations rather than postal abbreviations?

Options / Places / select 'Abbreviate states/provinces in the output

 

This option is selected by default for the Pedigree report... and is the only built-in option for abbreviations.

If you want to use the Standard abbreviations instead of the Postal, you can edit the abbreviations on the menu in TMG: Tools > State/Province Abbreviations. Under Countries, click on United States. That will give you a list in the field below of all the states and their postal abbreviations. Select a state and click the Edit button to enter the standard form.
