FTM 2014 or 2009 to Import using TMG Version 9

Can you use a FTM 2014file to import into TMG version 9 or will version 9 only import a file from FTM 2009?

TMG9 only supports importing a FTM 2008/2009 database. Direct import of a FTM 2014 database is not supported.

 

In FTM 2014, you select File / Export and select the output format as 'Family Tree Maker 2008/2009' and import that to TMG. Be sure to save the FTM 2008/2009 database with a name differing from that of your FTM 2014 database.
