mnmtnman 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2014 I have listed the children on a census under the Head of Family role. The children are listed as sons or daughters. The sentence for one son works ok. If I have two sons the sentence reads Howard and Bill was listed....... How can I write the sentence so it says Howard and Bill were listed......?
Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2014 My solution to this issue is to create three separate Roles for the head of family. I use the Principal Role (you could substitute your Head of Family Role) when there are multiple children which says "...children...were..." Then I have separate Roles for one son and one daughter, which say "...son...was..." and "...daughter...was..." I don't know of a way to make this work in a single Sentence.
