RuthAppleby 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2015 I used to have TMG v.9 working well under Win8.1, but for some reason, when I tried to restore from a back up from Win7 it failed. I had successfully restored such backups previously. I removed the program, reinstalled it, updated to v.9.05 and tried again. Still no luck. I repeated the exercise - reinstalled up to v9.05 and now get this message when I start the program: "The program can't start because MSCVR71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem". I tried that - it didn't and I keep getting the same message. Any ideas anyone?
Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2015 Run the TMG v9.05 installer and select [Repair]. btw... If you need to reinstall TMG9 at any time in the future, use the v9.05 installer. You can download a copy here... http://www.whollygenes.com/forums201/index.php?/topic/15915-tmg9-final-installers/
RuthAppleby 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2015 (edited) I used the installer and it overcame the initial error message. However, when I try to restore from a backup I get the following error: "Variable LATEMP is not found. 44 FRMWIZRESTORE.WIZPAGEFRAME1.PAGE1.CON.INIT " Help! RuthAppleby 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2015 I used the installer and it overcame the initial error message. However, when I try to restore from a backup I get the following error: "Variable LATEMP is not found. 44 FRMWIZRESTORE.WIZPAGEFRAME1.PAGE1.CON.INIT" I can choose between Abort, Retry or Ignore Abort just exits the program, Retry has no effect and the same message remains, Ignore moves on to the same message with 45 substituted for 44. This happens four times I all with consecutive numbers replacing the prior. When the restore window continues, it hangs and no backup is restored. Any suggestions? Thanks. Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2015 I'd again try running the v9.05 installer and selecting [Repair].
