Examples for color-accents

Hello!

 

I have some questions about color-accents.

 

The only one i use at the moment is:

Is ancestor or descendant of...(me)

 

I would for example like to highlight the spouses of the current person. (Since it has the same color as the children).

Is there a way to archieve this?

 

Maybe some of you know other accent-settings that might make work easier.

If so, i would be glad, if you could post your settings (along with a short description) here.

You might look at my article on accents for some ideas.

 

Generally, it's better to create flags and use them for accents, rather than the filters like "is an ancestor of" because this allows the screen to re-draw more quickly as you move from person to person. Also, you can create much more complex accent systems, as described in the article.

 

However you cannot create accents based on the relationship to the current focus person - the accent has to be based on a fixed relationship or flag. Look at the ideas in the article and see if something there doesn't suggest a solution for you.

Setting flags for all my ancestors is something i plan for the future.
