MMj 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 Hi I have a couple of small datasets where all of the information in them came from a single source. I would like to add 1 relevant source citation for each tag in these datasets before bringing the data into my master dataset. I know I have seen that done before, but for the life of me, I can't remember how it was done. Can John Cardinal's TMG utility do that? And if so, how do I go about it? Thanks Mike D. Terry Reigel 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 There are a couple of ways - if the data is in the form of a GEDCOM, you can add a source during import. You don't have much control over the way the source is written in import, but afterwards you can edit it to be anything you like. If it's already in TMG, before merging with any other data, open the Master Source List, and create the Source definition. Then, select that source, and click the Cite Globally button, which will allow you to add a citation to all tags or only certian types.
