I have NEVER gotten an update by using "check for update", it just closes down TMG. I always have to go to WG web-site and download from the upgrade link. I always have to go to WG web-site and download from the upgrade link. Yes "check for an update" closes TMG but it should open a download window. Sometimes firewalls cause problems.
