I know there are a few of you out here who use the HP Scanjet 4670? My question to all is: Have you upgraded to Vista yet and have you succeeded in finding a driver for this scanner or even a workaround? Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted February 26, 2007 Keep a watch on the HP site for the driver. Looking at the WinVista driver page for the Scanjet 4670... "Currently, there is no Windows Vista driver available for your HP product. Therefore your product will not work with Windows Vista at this time. HP is currently working to make the HP driver solution for your product available as soon as possible. We will have basic driver solutions available for HP Scanners starting in February and completing by mid March." Here is one person's work-around to get the 4670 working under WinVista. "In brief -- download the Deskscan 2.9 software from the HP website and install it using Run as Administrator and at the end run the Scanner Test ...... Many thanks for passing it through. I'd almost given up hope but on seeing your message immediately found and bought myself a second new 4670 still in original packing for the future - yes they're still about over this side of the water.
