Paul Lawrence 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2004 What is this "Flood Control" message I get once in awhile when I click on View New Posts?
The Oakster 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2004 Hi, Flood control is used to stop people posting the same message in quick succession. When you post you will not be able to post for so many seconds after to stop you 'flooding' the forum. I have no idea why you would see it when viewing new posts. Maybe the flood control stops you from quickly requesting the page information from the server as well so that the server isnt slowed by continual requests for information...? ben
