Installation on desktop and laptop

Recommended Posts

I had 6.x on a desktop (XP) and a laptop (XP) using a common database. These had been consistently upgraded via downloads while in the program.

The desktop died and was replaced by a Vista machine. I chose not to re-install 6.x, thinking there would be a Vista "perfect" solution soon.

Now, there is, and I'm ready to upgrade both machines. So, how to do that.

I have input my 6.x serial number to get the product, and am ready to pay and download and install.

Once I've downloaded to one machine and installed the software, how do I then do the other. Do I download to a thumb-drive, so I can carry it to the other machine? Or, find the download from the wireless network and go from there? Or, do I download to the other machine, somehow indicating that I've already purchased the product.

After you have downloaded the installer, you could copy it to the other machine by thumb drive or network and install with the copy.

Or, you could download the 30-day trial from the second machine and install that, then unlock with the serial number you receive.

But if you place the installer on a shared drive you can just run it from the other machine to install the program there. That's probably the quickest way.

Thanks, Terry

I'll try the third one, probably easiest, tomorrow!
