Hi,

Is there a ID no. for a family / marriage?
I have to organize me Genealogy Papers and I't thinking about use family no. This works in other genealogy programs and I would be happy if could be used with TMG.

Hi Liliana,

Software packages which are relationship based rather than event based have many things focused on a family / marriage, and thus need an ID for that. TMG does not since it separates a parent/child relationship from a marriage. However, TMG has a number of flexible tools which can help you store an ID like this if you wish. You may want to review the rather long Forum thread here where a number of us users discussed the term MRIN, which is what this kind of ID is usually called. Hope some of those older posts give you ideas.

Hi Michael

Thank you very much. I'll have a look on that Forum thread. Hopefully I can find something that will work for me.
It's not so easy to read since the new fourm doesn't handle the old quoted parts in a post that well.
