I think I know the answer, but wish to be certain. If I go to Tools/Master Tag Type List and change the default sentence structure (template) of tags, do those changes persist when I upgrade to the next version of TMG? Likewise with Tools/Source Types (although I am considering changing from Mills to Custom which I am certain would survive an upgrade)?

Yes, these changes persist.

To amplify just a bit, both of these changes become part of your Project data, not something kept in the program itself. Thus they survive when you move the Project to an updated program, or to another installation on another computer.

Likewise, should you create a new Project (or even a new Data Set within you current Project) the changes you make will not appear in the new Project or Data Set.
