I've listed someone in my database as a female but just learned that person was a male. Because he's already listed as a bio-mother, I'm unable to (easily) change the sex ("Sex cannot be changed because person is recorded as primary mother of one or more people.") He has a daughter...who has descendants. Is there a way to fix this without reentering a lot of data?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Judy,

First go to the "mother". Note the ID number of fhe daughter..  Now delete the daughter tag so she is no longer a child.  Now you should be able to change the SEX flag to Male.  Finally add a Child tag and enter the daughter's ID number in the tag to relink her as "his" daughter.

Thank you! Yes, that was easy -- but I hadn't figured it out for myself.
