LornaHenderson 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2006 What I've done, and repeated: From an existing project open, with a filtered PE Alt+F, 3 to open 3rd project on list of last used projects Say Yes to prompt to close current project Newly opened project runs the filter from the first, now closed project, twice, without asking whether or not I wanted to apply it, which answer would definitely have been NO as the flag that particular filter was based on doesn't even exist in the newly opened project. Can anyone reproduce this? When the starting project is unfiltered, no filtering of the newly opened project occurs. And regardless of any filter, I still cannot get the sort order right in the other project, but that's another story, mentioned elsewhere
Duane Funk 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2006 I have the same problem. When I close one project and open another the new project tries to run the filter I was trying to use in the first project, weather I want it to or not. Vera Nagel 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2006 Hi Lorna, hi Duane, I was able to reproduce the behavior both of you see. It will be reported. For the moment the work-around / additional step is to simply clear the filter of the PE using the corresponding button when the new project is open. LornaHenderson 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2006 A variant on the above is when doing a backup from a filtered project. When the backup is finished it asks do you want to restore the filter that was in use Even if you answer NO, it still filters. Or does for me anyway. (and yes, the workaround is to remove the filter before backing up but I forget too)
