Adding photo image to image box in detail screen

Recommended Posts

Help!!

It's been such a long time since I added a photo to image box in detail screen that I've had one of those senior moments where the obvious becomes unobtainable.

This is what I'm trying to do - without success. I have a photo of a deceased person takien just before he died thus I click on the death tag, then the camera, right click the empty screen of the Exhibit Log, choose insert new image, select existing file, click open and the photo image appears in the Exhibit Log and finally close.

BUT the image does not appear in the image box in the details screen. I have managed to get this to work before as I have about 200 photos so placed.

Can someone please offer a solution here

My thanks from a snowy Holland

Dave

The issue you are seeing is due to the fact that an exhibit can be attached to a variety of TMG entities: Person, Event, Source, Repository, Place, Citation. You have attached your exhibit to the Death Event tag. But the Person View only displays the primary exhibit attached to the Person. If you want to see the photo there, simply click on the Exhibit Log (Camera icon) button when viewing the person and add your exhibit as you did, but with the Focus being the Person.

Dave,

additionally... here's an excerpt from TMG Help

"Primary Exhibits

The person image exhibit marked primary ( * ) is used in the Image window

and in some reports.

To mark an exhibit primary:

Select a non-primary person image exhibit and click the [Primary] button or

right-click on the image and select Properties on the menu. Then select the

General tab and select the Primary checkbox."
