Peter Tarkkonen 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 How you colleques document source for Exhibits? I have many photos received from relatives or scanned from books. Mostly I have those books as a Source allready and just wish to add them as citation Thank you! Peter
Jim Byram 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 Since there is no direct way to link sources to exhibits, one way to handle this is to create a custom tag type in the Other group to document your exhibits. Link each exhibit to a tag to the source with an appropriate citation. If you don't want to output the duplicate exhibits, simply make the tag type sentence '--'. Thank you Jim, I tought I was right not finding "direct" way to do this. In most cases I have just one primary photo of a person and then direct citation link would be easy. For "Group Photos" I do exactly as you told. It is also very easy to get all people in photo listed thru wittnesses field. Works perfect especially with Second Site. John Cardinal 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 Peter, You might try an inline citation ([CIT:] ... [:CIT]) in the Caption field of the exhibit. As I recall, some users discovered that worked in both TMG and SS. John

Direct citation link to source would be perfect. Maybe one day..... Peter
John Cardinal 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 Peter, "Direct citation link to source would be perfect. Maybe one day....." What do you mean? Adding a [CIT:] / [:CIT] code will add a citation to a source.
