  1. Today I had 13 Journal Reports to save as .pdf files. I chose "printer," clicked "Create Report," and while "calculating text for x people" received a message "Unable to start the print job" and "TerPrint 2, Error Code 5."In every instance (13 reports!), when I tried again to print the Journal Report...I was able to do so. Very strange, IMO. In general, it didn't seem to matter how many people were included in the report, although when I tested VERY small reports, they worked. There was no problem with Descendant Indented Charts. Meanwhile, I tried all the maintenance options (although I questioned whether they were even going to be helpful) AND I rebooted my laptop. Nothing helped. Any idea what I have to do to avoid having to go through the process of saving Journal Reports as .pdf files twice? I would be happy to provide any other information that may help troubleshoot this issue...which has never happened before! Thanks in advance.
  2. In my Journal Reports - Descendants, I am using the suggestions and advice from Janis Rodriquez' Nov, 2014 RUG Newsletter article, et al, but I don't see how to interlace the Maternal Descendants with the Paternal from the Focus Person (1) down. Is this possible? Thank you. MJG
  3. I reported in my older listing about Journal Reports not printing all the exhibits and that I had found the problem, and it is NOT a TMG problem but a MicroSoft Word problem. If you are creating a large Journal Report and have many exhibits there is a size limitage with MS Word of 512MB. My report was 630 MB and that is the reason the exhibits at the end of my report were showing as small empty squares. A MAC will read the Word report in "Pages" correctly and all the exhibits will display as there is no size limitation. Unfortunatly I have a PC not a MAC. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out from MS how to create a larger report? I have checked all my exhibits and they are all JPEG, 200 dpi or less and the entire report is much smaller than the one I produced about 4 years ago with more exhibits and the whole report was 810MB it was created in Word and it is a beautiful book over 600 pages. Thank you for any help that you can offer.
  4. Dear TMG Forum: My old computer crashed. I have a brand new Dell XPS 8500. I installed TMG v.04 on the Windows 7 (64-bit) O.S. Everything looks fine. Except... When I try to print out a Journal Report starting with my oldest ancestor, it terminates immediately with the message "There were no descendants of the selected person." However, if I do a Descendant Indented Chart, all the descendants are there. Also, all links appear to be correct within the program. So what could be causing the "no descendants" message in the Journal Report? Thanks for any light any of you can shine on this issue. Brian P.S. Do I need to upgrade to TMG 8?
  5. I want to create a journal report, exporting to Microsoft Word, with full justification of the margins. I have checked the "full" button under "justification" on the Page option, but the report created is only left margin justified. When I check the "left" button under "justification," I get the same report with left margin justification. What do I need to do to get full justification of the margins?
  6. Journal report options (sources) - the report option screen does not allow the user to elect both the “disable ibid.” and the “combine consecutive footnotes/endnotes.” Is there a way around this restriction?
