  1. Backup problem

I'm using TMG9 on a Mac with Parallels. My Windows10 has been having update problems, so I'd like to create a fresh backup of my project in case Windows crashes. I've never had a problem running backups before, but now I get through all the steps and click on "Finish" and nothing happens. No progress. After a minute or two I get a message that the program is not responding and all I can do at that point is end the program.
  2. Chart printing

I posted a few weeks ago about chart printing and I'm still having problems. I'm running TMG 9 on a Mac using Parallels. I've created a descendant box chart containing 104 people spanning seven generations. When I go to TOOLS>DIAGRAM>RESIZE I learn the chart is 92.35 inches wide and 11.81 inches tall. I have several options to save the chart as a pdf, but none of these options permit me to adjust the paper to these dimensions. 1. Print to PDF (Mac Desktop) lets me use the Postscript Custom Page Size option to adjust to a maximum of 17W by 36H 2. Microsoft Print to PDF does not let me access Postscript Custom Page Size 3. QPDF Creator lets me use the Postscript Custom Page Size to a maximum of 78.7x by 78.75 4. Wholly Genes PDF Writer v4 does not let me make any adjustments. I'd like to have it printed commercially in a large, single page format. I can save it as a bmp but I understand the finished product would look better if run from a pdf. I've left most of the default chart options as default. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Ed Dunscombe

  4. Chart printing

Robin, i haven’t used the chart printing function in TMG in years. I believe one used to be able to order a chart through an automated process within TMG, but I’m guessing that’s no longer possible since TMG is no longer supported? I tried it yesterday and it went nowhere. Thanks, Ed

  6. Saving ahnentafel report

Nevermind I see I can save it as a pdf in printing options.
  7. Is there any way to send a chart created in TMG (visual chartform extension) to someone who does not have TMG in a way that they will be able to open and view the chart?
  8. Saving ahnentafel report

I am able to generate an ahnentafel report just fine using TMG 9.05 and can print the report. Is there any way to save it? Ed Dunscombe
  9. Upgrading questions

Several issues. I am running TMG Gold 9.03.0000 and would like to upgrade to 9.05, partially so that I have the latest version and partially so that I will also have a copy of the installer file to put aside just in case. I use a Mac with Parallels 10.4.0 and would also like to upgrade that to v. 11, and then upgrade my Win 7 to Win 10. I also run Second Site 6.0.2. I have current backups of my TMG projects. A lot of upgrading there and I'm a concerned about a conflict along the way. I have my TMG serial number, and my original e-mail from Wholly Genes when I bought TMG v. 9. This shows my name, e-mail address, serial number and order number. I this information my "unlock code"? If so, is that all I should need to upgrade to TMG 9.05? Once I have 9.05, I think my sequence should be to: 1. Upgrade to Parallels 10.4.0 2. Upgrade to Windows 10. Thanks, Ed Dunscombe
  10. Relationships

My TMG v.8 is showing a relationship between two subjects of tenth cousin 17 times removed. The son of one of these people is showing no relationship. Any idea why? Do relationships beyond certain limits not display? If I check the same relationship using the Relationship Calculator, the relationships show. But the relationship tag field shows no relationship.
